Newsletter Summer Holidays!
Well what a year it’s been..
We opened eastbourne a year ago and we now have loads of you coming over for lessons now plus the group sessions and workshops.
Plus some of you have used the recording studio. It is so exciting for me to see how the new facilities set in such a vibey setting with a real piano and acoustic drums has really inspired so many.
Groups
The groups have been growing nicely and everyone who is doing them is really gaining musicality in their playing as they work with others. 2 of the lads have turned into great mates. they are so good for improving a students musicality..
How We do Holidays.
Just for overall clarity on the school holidays.
We carry on through all holidays apart from the 2 weeks of Christmas..
This means we can offer lessons in holidays for students wanting consistency and not having to have a break like in schools.
We can give provide more weeks each year, so if a teacher is on a gig or no cover is possible or if teachers or student are ill we have more weeks to play with..
Everyone is away at some point and need weeks off for other things, but just so you know the reason we carry on..
Never a problem if someone doesn’t do holidays you will never lose your slot in the calendar !!
How Blocks work?
There is often confusion with the block lesson payment system.
Block payments are no different from paying as you go.
You have the same cancellation policy and all that happens is that the lesson carry’s over if one is missed within the the policy..
We do the blocks to minimise admin and to have a feeling that students are part of a community not just an occasional appointment.. like a haircut !

It really helps that you understand it.
The 24 hours notice just makes the teachers feel like they can guarantee their income on the day. And changes can be made in good time..

Online learning
With cancellations in mind.. sometimes the reason for not getting to a lesson isnt student illness. It could be that a car has broken down etc…
We have online lesson set ups in all studios, so if this is possible, just jumping on a zoom call for a lesson is always an option to prevent missing a weeks lesson..
Future workshops
This years workshops have been brilliantly attended,
The plan is to extend the programme over 3 weeks next summer plus do set of them in the easter holidays

Hailsham
So… we are moving the Hailsham studio to a bigger and better space on the Diplocks estate.
We will have 2 rooms, our own reception
We will have acoustic drums, real piano plus the opportunity for group sessions over there.
Ive always wanted our studios to have a special feeling about them and I really think the upgrade to Hailsham does this..
I will be in touch with dates for the move, no need to do anything yet..

Please do spread the word about our services.. word and mouth is the best way of us growing so anything you guys can do would really help.Im working on some ways to give something back to you and to the teachers who bring in new students and participants in the groups.
